Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has launched a promotion with cryptocurrency prizes that will allow soccer fans to win up to several thousand dollars with their predictions of LaLiga matches.
La Liga, Spain's premier soccer competition - also known as LALIGA EA SPORTS for sponsorship purposes - kicked off its 2024-25 season in August and will continue until May next year, with tournaments between twenty rival teams. Champions Real Madrid stand out as they look to defend their crown after winning their 36th title the previous season.
Sports fans will now have the opportunity to win cryptocurrencies if they get their predictions right.
To add spice to this highly televised tournament, Bitget has announced a PRODE: a free and exclusive prediction competition that offers participants the chance to win prizes in stablecoin Tether (USDT).
Those who match at least three results of La Liga matches this season will qualify for prizes totaling USD $5,000 in USDT, the company said in a press release.
“The PRODE offers users the opportunity to test their soccer knowledge. Participants can predict the results of their favorite LALIGA matches during the promotion period, which runs from December 26, 2024 to January 26, 2025,” reads the statement emailed to DiarioBitcoin.
In addition, to further increase fan participation, the exchange also announced a sweepstakes on its X account with BGB tokens worth USD $1,000, offering users more ways to win.
The initiative comes after La Liga chose Bitget as its official cryptocurrency sponsor in September, and seeks precisely to celebrate this alliance. As part of this, the parties also announced this week has launched the Bitget x LALIGA partnership website. The portal will be the hub for information on all of the partnership's events and promotions, offering exclusive content, summaries of past events and highlights of future actions.
LaLiga, the Spanish soccer's top division body that brings together some of the world's most notable soccer clubs including Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, has made other cryptocurrency efforts including an NFT collection alongside Dapper Labs.
The next match will see the Real Madrid team play Valencia on Friday, January 3, 2025.
